PRODUCT:
Enviro-Zyme
216 is a dry, free flowing powder consisting of waste
digesting enzymes and select strains of natural bacteria. All of
the specific strains of Enviro-Zyme 216 are authorized by
the Food Safety and Inspection service of the USDA for use in
federally inspected establishments. The product meets Federal
Specifications P-C-440 and GSA Commercial Specifications
#A-A-11.
PURPOSE:
A concentrated source of hydrolytic
(degrading) enzymes and eight strains of natural bacteria that
are genetically capable of producing concentrations of enzymes
in waste treatment systems under aerobic and anaerobic
conditions. This product is used in food processing plants, and
in municipal and industrial waste treatment facilities where
additional nutrient supply is needed to ensure proper bacteria
growth. It helps in the liquefaction and degrading of organic
waste and odor control in an environmentally-sound manner.
Bio-augmentation using Enviro-Zyme 216,improves the
efficiency of industrial, municipal and other waste treatment
systems.

APPLICATION
RATES:
Application rates vary with retention times,
BOD ranges, water temperatures, pH, sludge build-up, and pond
depth. Initial treatment of any waste system should be
eight times the volume of Enviro-Zyme 216 required for
normal preventative maintenance. As a general rule, normal
preventative maintenance in oxidation lagoons, digesters, sludge
pits, clarifiers, imhoff tanks and collections systems is 2 ppm
of Enviro-Zyme 216 per day. The 2 ppm is determined by
the total weight of the waste water in the system. The point of
application should be in an area which allows the product the
maximum time in the system.
Liquid products are available but are not as cost
effective in waste treatment systems with high retention times.
APPEARANCE:
Medium tan, free flowing granular powder,
yeasty odor.
STORAGE
REQUIREMENTS:
For
optimal activity over longest storage time, keep in a dry
storage area under 38°C
(100°).
Shelf life under these conditions estimated to be in excess of
one year.
