Winston
Company, Inc. began in 1962 as a research and
development entity at MAPCO, a large
company. MAPCO and Phillips Petroleum entered into a joint
venture to develop bacteria/enzyme products that would
digest human waste aboard NASA space capsules. After years
of development, an effective product was introduced.
The product
performed very well for the space program. However, just as
this product was beginning to expand, MAPCO was forced to funnel research dollars to
other areas. In 1977, Henry Zahn purchased the entity from MAPCO and formed Winston Company.
Today, we
continue to use Nature's wisdom, and her workhorses --
bacteria and enzymes -- to clean the air, water and land
around us.
